Company: IDEAYA Biosciences
Job title: Senior Scientist
I earned my PhD at the University of Pittsburgh where I studied the molecular mechanisms that mediated GPCR-mediated activation of EGFR in Head and neck cancer. I conducted post-doctoral research in the lab of Carlos Arteaga at Vanderbilt University where I investigated the mechanisms of drug resistance to different inhibitors in triple-negative breast cancer. I continued to investigate the mechanisms of drug resistance in cancer during my tenure at University of California San Francisco following my post-doctoral tenure. I investigated the effect of blocking bromodomains to overcome EGFR inhibitor resistance in Head and Neck cancer. From early 2019, I took on a senior scientist role at IDEAYA Biosciences where I function as a Biology and Biomarker scientist across multiple programs including the DDR programs.
